The SADT method is a language to communicate ideas. This technique corresponds to a coherent set of methods and rules constituting a reasoning of analyse and conception which is modular and organised into a hierarchy. The SADT method is particularly well-adapted to systems and organisations using computing science ; however, its use is possible in any field.

The principle of the SADT method is quite simple. It consists in modelling a system in the aim of facilitating its understanding. It is an analysis method said to be descending, modular and organised into a hierarchy because it begins with a general and abstract description of the system before splitting it up.

Mathematical model for sensory conflict and movement control

General model for sensory conflict and movement control based on observer theory (Oman 1982). Corresponding to the A-0 level of S.A.D.T diagram. The principal objective of these diagrams is to formalise the knowledge in neurophysiology.

An example of representation of rules concerning the action of a microgravity state on biological systems (based on work of Oman 1982)

Mechanism of vomiting : according to the model, the tachygastry results from the action of the Fast Path
